Been hit by a train today!!

Dear man in the moon

Got up this morning and looking for the train that hit me.  My whole body aces and my my nose is blocked.  And to top it all off Mia my four year old got her immunization yesterday and today she's got a fever.  Haven't got time to be sick, must look after her.

Aaw man I just got into this routine of getting up in the morning and going for a jog, and now I have to wait until I am better.  That is life.

We've had some great weather here lately which been nice.  Think I need to go lay down until I feel better. 

The Tallest of smalls by Max Lucado

I've read the children book "The Tallest of smalls by Max Lucado."  What a surprising book.  It is about a little boy Ollie who lives in Stilsville.  Every night every one gets together in the town square and hopes to be chosen to walk on stilts.  At first Ollie is not chosen because he is poor and not cool.  But one day he is chosen, and he discovers that when he is up there it is not all that he thought it would be.

It's got a surprising ending.  You learn that God loves you just the way you are, a lesson that even grownups need to hear sometimes.

Why does it feel that there is not enough time in the day.  My oldest turned four and just started "Rising Stars" at her kindy.  Soon she'll be off to school and before you know it she is all grown up.  Where is the time going.  I told her that when I blink my eyes she will be all grown up, and she replied that I should not blink.  If only it was that easy.

My youngest is turning three next month, and she is getting so quite.  My husband was playing hide and seek with them, and it was Madi's turn to seek.  When she found Mia she went and sat down.  I asked her where is daddy and she went "oh I nearly forget"  and got up to go and look for him.

I look at my girls and I think how wonderful it is to be a mom.  How great it is to see so much love in those eyes.  It is true when you've got a kid then you walk around with you're heart on you're sleeve. 

If I feel this way about my girls, just think how God feels about us.  He gave His only Son for us.  Wow that is really something to think about.

Woke up this morning and wonderd what I've got going on today. Taking kids to kindy and play centre, and then I realised that it is Saturday. Thank goodness it is Saturday. By Thursday I needed a brake. It helps so much when Martin is home. He is such a good husband and father. I think I have pms, my patients is running low.

I been feeling a little homesick this past month. Probaly the hormones. But because of that I've been buying so much South African stuff and watching SA movies, and just watching stuff from the past. I've started watching "Twin Peaks" and when Iam finished with that Im going to start watching "Sex in the city'. I think when you get older you try to cling to the things of you're youth. That was when life was so easy. I am not scared to die, but I am scared of getting older. I don't know if it is just a 30 thing and if it will get better when you go into you're 40's, but at this stage it's terrible. I've never worried about my weight, or makeup or fashion. Now if I pickup a kg I get this obsession to loose it. I've started to wear make up and I just want to buy, buy, buy.

It is so great to just have a chat with you, I feel unloaded. Think I'll go and make myself a cup of tea and enjoy the rest of my day.

This is my first entry on my blog. If you wondering why dear man in the moon, when I was a little girl there was this sitcom on tv where this girl would talk about her day, and she always started with "dear man in the moon".

I am feeling a little nostalgic.

I just came back from a beautifull cold walk. Got no feeling in my fingers and nose. My sister-in-law is making us a nice cup of tea, and then we are probably going to decide what to eat. Sorry, english is my second language so don't mind the spelling.

Because this is my first blog and I am totally new to this, it is just going to be a short one, just to get me used to this.

I am in my 30's (funny when you pass 29 that you don't want people to know how old you are any more) and a female. I am married to a wonderful man and have two BEAUTIFUL little girls.

My blog is about life with me, life raising two toddlers and the ups and downs of immigrating to a new country.
